Student Collapses During Agoura High Graduation, Briefly Halting Ceremony

Just as commencement exercises were getting underway Thursday evening at Agoura High School, a student collapsed during the processional.

As emergency personnel and faculty members gathered to assist, principal Larry Misel took to the podium asking everyone to take their seats.

An ambulance arrived on the scene shortly thereafter to take the female student away. However, before she left the premises, she was given her diploma for which she received a round of applause from the crowd.

Misel later informed the crowd that the student had been suffering from prior medical conditions but was going to be okay.

The proceedings were delayed for approximately 20 minutes before going on as scheduled.
