Emma Gordon, Neighbor

As an incoming second grader, Emma Gordon wasn't thrilled with her family's move to Agoura Hills, but as a 10th grader she now realizes she wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere else.

Emma is 15 and entering her sophomore year at Agoura High School. Doing well in school is rewarding for her and she aspires to always do her best.  This will be her second year on the cross country and track teams, where she has been pushed physically and inspired mentally in ways she has never experienced before.

Writing is a major part of Emma&#39;s life. Both her parents are writers, and ever since she was little she has been crafting stories of her own. In elementary school she appeared in <i>Discovery Girls</i> and <i>Glamour </i>magazines. In middle school, a letter she wrote to the principal prompted him to start a recycling program in the classrooms. She has continued her passion for writing in the journalism class at AHS.

Outside of running, studying and writing, she loves to watch her favorite show, <i>Gilmore Girls</i>, enjoy her favorite movie, <i>Almost Famous</i>, or listen to some of her favorite music, Vampire Weekend and Rhett Miller.
