L.A. Auto Show Revs Up This Weekend

The annual show at the Los Angeles Convention Center opens Friday and runs through Thanksgiving weekend. The public can see the latest cars and test drive many.

The annual motoring extravaganza that is the LA Auto Show opens to the public Friday at the Los Angeles Convention Center and runs through Thanksgiving weekend.

More than 1,000 vehicles will be on display, and a total of 56 vehicles will make their U.S. debut. The lineup underscores rising trends in green technology, luxury vehicles and concept cars. 

More than two dozen green vehicles will be featured at the show, including models from Acura, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen, ranging from alternative-fuel models to brand new plug-ins.

Show attendees will have opportunities to test drive many of the latest cars.

Weekday admission for ages 13 and up is $10, while weekend admission is $12. there are discounts for seniors and children. You can purchase tickets online.

Show hours this weekend are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to  10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Founded in 1907, the Los Angeles Auto Show is the first major North American auto show of the season each year.
