  • The Agoura City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. The council is set to discuss the creation of a preferential parking district on Carell Avenue. 
  • The Ventura Comedy Festival is set for Sept. 23-29 featuring 27 comedy shows. Visit www.venturacomedyfestival.com for more information.
  • Go bananas on the scenic grounds at the Port of Hueneme at the second annual Banana Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
