Everyone can lend a hand by helping sort food and clothing donations at our own regional Big Sunday hub site, this Sunday May 6. Spend an hour or more - bring the whole family. This community service event is taking place alongside the Triunfo YMCA's Soapbox Derby, so there are lots of fun things to see, do, and eat. If you can, bring some food items (all kinds welcome) or gently-used clothing. Collected items will go tothe Rescate Family Rescue Center in Canoga Park, a food bank, clinic, and job training center. Also, for a $1 contribution, you can buy a dozen diapers for an underpriveleged mother, and make her a nice Mother's Day card at the event. Volunteers on Big Sunday get a great Big Sunday T-shirt.
