An Easy Way to Avoid Online Fraud

It is the time of Christmas, the weekend has not end yet, this is the time of extreme shopping, which also follow in online shopping. It is the time when online fraudsters are expecting to earn more than they earn in the whole year. You will have to be very careful while shopping online. Even if you are an online trader and do not celebrate Christmas due to any reason, they will not leave you on that as it is the time of extreme online transactions. Cyber criminals are trying to steal your privacy online and your financial data.

The most popular tricks include email scams, shipping documents, greeting cards offers, social media postings, online fake ecommerce websites, etc. If you want to avoid them, you will need to follow certain rules i.e. instead of searching something like TradeKey Fraud do more work.

If you an email and you do not know the sender, look its title carefully; if you find anything like holiday gift cards, holiday cards, holiday coupon, photos and other offers like this in it. Look even more carefully if the email contains attachments.

Always keep in mind that never open or click on the link in the email from unknown sender. It may lead you to a fraudulent or malicious website. The good thing is to search the name of the retailer on any search engine. Moreover, instead of searching something for example TradeKey Fraud search company name directly, in our example search for TradeKey and then you may go to link Google is ranked first. If you want to be more careful than go to news section and look for its reputation there. If you are unable to find anything there then go to forums and ask friends. The better way is to check its social media profiles and engagement or other related information with people there.

But these steps are for those who are thinking to buy something from that website if you just want to visit it then appearing in Google result would be fine. Therefore, I would recommend that instead of searching that company from social media directly go to its website (in our example we searched for TradeKey instead of what was expected TradeKey fraud). And go to its social profiles from the links given on its official website.
