7-Eleven and Starbucks are offering free icy drinks just in time to take the edge off the heat wave.
Just in time for the heat wave, and are offering free cool beverages to try.
Wednesday is free slurpee day at 7-Eleven from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in honor of the convenience store chain's 85th birthday.
Each customer that stops by Wednesday receives one 7.11-ounce Slurpee at no cost and receives two rewards points. Rewards points can be redeemed here for downloadable 7-Eleven wallpapers, games and more.

And on Friday, between the hours of 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., is offering customers a free, tall, hand-crafted Refresher. Choose between the Cool Lime and the Very Berry Hibiscus.
