Ride the High Country, starring former Thousand Oaks resident Joel McCrea, Randolph Scott and Mariette Hartley, is a story about two aging lawmen finding it difficult to adapt to the changing times.

Originally appearing as a second feature in 1962, the movie earned its way up to top billing through public appeal, said Calabasas resident David Leopold Lyons, son of the producer. “This was my father’s best film and is still relevant today with a message many of us can relate to as we get older—how do we keep up with an ever changing fast paced environment?”
