Great Race Street Closures, Traffic Alert

The annual Dole Great Race of Agoura Hills Saturday brings out thousands of runners who traverse local streets. The City of Agoura Hills is warning residents to plan ahead.

The 28th annual Dole Great Race of Agoura Hills will be taking place Saturday morning. Many of the running routes go through local streets and neighborhoods.

The City of Agoura Hills is warning residents that there may be traffic delays during part of the race and urges the community to make note of the times and routes for the six races so you can plan around the crowds.

This community event raises funds for the elementary schools and high schools of Agoura Hills and Oak Park. This year, runners will visit our community from 350 different cities and 35 states. Show your community spirit and hospitality.

If you need to leave your home, give yourself ample time before the races begin in your area and leave at least an extra 10-15 minutes. The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. will be directing traffic and any delay should be minimized.

The biggest area of congestion will be around Agoura High School, Chumash Park, Kanan Rd./Thousand Oaks Blvd. intersection, Driver Ave./Chesebro Rd./Canwood St. intersection.
