Take the family out for an evening in the mountains and experience nature at night. The National Park Service will a free evening program on August 20 in the Santa Monica Mountains that will feature a simulated campfire experience, sing-alongs, and an introduction to night hikes with a short .6 mile trek through the woods.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a nighttime snack, a flashlight, and a sense of adventure. The events will both start at 7:30 pm at Peter Strauss Ranch in Agoura Hills. Optional RSVP to Ranger Mary at 805-370-2348 x 205.

From Highway 101: Take the Kanan Road exit. Go south on Kanan Road 2.8 miles. Turn left on Troutdale Drive to Mulholland Highway. Left on Mulholland Highway for 400 feet then right into the parking lot. Parking is free.
