Chargers Spring Into Sports

With another season comes a new coach at . Eddie Small will helm the Boy's Tennis team this year. 

"We have a great bunch of tennis players who have a lot of potential to experience a great and successful season," said Small, who has coached Boy's Varsity for nine years and Girl's Varsity for 11 at schools across the region. "We [Agoura] have been practicing hard since Jan. 24 and hope to improve in our standing in league play while improving our skills and having a lot of fun."

Girl's Softball:

• Games set last weekend were rained out. The Varsity team has another tournament this weekend at Hart High School. The Junior Varsity team will be in a tournament this weekend at Buena High School.

Golf:

• The Boy's Varsity golf team started their season yesterday with a match against Calabasas High School. The Varsity Charger shot 478 and Calabasas shot 387 at Calabasas Country Club. The Junior Varsity played at Westlake Golf Course against Thousand Oaks and shot 328. Thousand Oaks shot 315. Their next matchup is Thursday between Simi Valley High School. 

Tennis:

• They start their season with a practice match at Oaks Christian Thursday at 3 p.m. 

Track & Field:

• The entire track program, girls and boys, along with all levels, have their first meet against Oak Park High School starting at 3 p.m. The meet is at Oak Park.

Swimming:

• Both the Girl's and Boy's Swim Teams have their first meeting starting at 3 p.m. against Harvard-Westlake.

Boy's Volleyball:

• The Frosh/Soph team has a home game at 3:30 p.m. against Notre Dame. The Junior Varsity game starts at 4:30 p.m. and Varsity at 6 p.m. Both are at home as well and against Notre Dame.
