Boys Water Polo Brings Home the Gold

The 16U Red Team won a gold medal at the 43rd annual Junior Olympics held in Palo Alto, California.

Los Angeles Water Polo Club Boys 16U Red Team brought home the gold medal in the platinum division of USA Water Polo’s 43rd annual Junior Olympics held in and around Palo Alto, California last week. 

Over five hundred teams and eight thousand athletes came together to compete in championship venues.The boys from the 16U Red Team attend Harvard-Westlake, Loyola, and Agoura High School and compete for those schools as well.

Agoura High goalie Anthony Ridgley was named MVP of the tournament.

LAWPC’s 12U Boys team took the bronze medal in the gold division. Head Coach Brandon Gross led players, Sam Krutonog, Noah David, Tate Kallman, Michael Gelnek, Aidan Djavadi, Alex Hartmann, Cole Kaplan, Dimitrie Lukic, Henry Lowe, Jesse McAdams, Shane Patterson Francis Provenzano and Ben Berry.
