Agoura Hills Athlete Named in CIF's SoCal 100 Greatest List

Deena Kastor, Agoura High School graduate and Olympic medalist, is named In the prestigious CIF Southern Section list.

In celebrating its 100th anniversary, the CIF Southern Section released its 100 greatest former high school athletes, according to a post in the Los Angeles Times.

Olympic medalist and former Agoura resident Deena Kastor is amongst the names listed.

Kastor set the record of 2:19:36 in winning the 2006 London Marathon. She won a bronze medal in the marathon in the 2004 Olympics and is a 25-time national champion in track, road and cross country races.   

Kastor graduated in 1991 from Agoura High School, where she was a five-time state champion and was one of an elite few to make the National Championships for four consecutive years.
