A New Race, New Technology Debut at This Year's Reyes Adobe Days' Road Races

A 10-mile race and live runner tracking is being introduced this year during the weekend-long festivities of Reyes Adobe Days.

 

The organized road races are one of the most anticipated events of the annual three-day Reyes Adobe Days (RAD) festival being held October 5-7. The races will take place Sat., Oct. 6.

What began as a 5K in 2005 evolved into a 10K just last year. This year, a 10-mile race has been added.

“People like longer distances and there’s not a lot of 10-milers in the area,” said Danny Greenberg, race director. “It’s becoming a popular distance because it doesn’t take as much training as the half-marathon.” 

Greenberg also owns Endurance Events, which organizes and produces The Dole Great Race of Agoura, another widely popular local race that usually takes place in the springtime.
