Week in Review: So Long Summer, It's Back to School

The resumption of classes means traffic and parking woes and the search for healthy lunches that kids will actually eat.

With the beginning of another school year came qualms over filling kids' lunchboxes, high school havoc thanks to the construction of a performing arts center, and the welcoming of 27 new teachers to the school district. This week marked the bittersweet end to summer.

MONDAY

Patch reported that Las Virgenes Unified will have 27 new teachers for the 2010-'11 school year. About 18 of them attended the new teacher orientation at LVUSD offices the previous week.
