This year, the Las Virgenes Unified School District celebrates its 50th year in existence, having split from the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1963.
On Tuesday, May 28 at 5 p.m., a celebration is planned at the Calabasas Performing Arts Education Center prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting.
During the program, there will be story-telling as well as a celebration of students who have participated in essay, art and logo contests.
The public is invited to attend.
