“With all of the budgetary cutbacks, our schools are in need now more than ever of our support. THE Event is going to be an inspirational way to contribute to our school district on an annual basis and I am honored to be able to kick off the first annual party and fundraiser by performing with my band,” said honorary co-chair Greg Grunberg.
This event is a new initiative focused on bringing together a diverse group of community influencers for one night in the name of the local public schools. All of the proceeds from T.H.E. Event will go to T.H.E. Foundation, which is dedicated to saving the jobs of teachers and counselors in the Las Virgenes Unified School District that are at risk due to continued budget cuts. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and tables and individual tickets are on sale now.
