Food Trucks Roll Into Agoura High

Attendees from as far as Culver City get their munch on in Agoura Hills.

Local culinary devotees crammed into Agoura High's faculty parking lot on Saturday to catch a taste of . From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., mobile food trucks, ranging from the French Crepe N' Around to the Spanish Papas Tapas, served their worldly street fare.

The event raised money for the International Baccalaureate Program, which costs the school $10,000 annually, said Andrew Staiano, an Agoura High teacher who helped implement the two-year holistic program. Proceeds from Munch Madness will help fund teacher training, lesson materials, and text books.

For a $7 entrance free at the gate or a $5 online pre-sale ticket, attendees could have their pick of food from the vendors inside. Items ranged from $2 Vietnamese curry egg roles to $5 chicken pesto crepes.
