Breast Cancer Survivorship: What Happens Now?

This presentation covers the continuum of care from diagnosis including the physical, psychosocial, and economic issues of cancer. It focuses on the health and life of a person with cancer beyond the diagnosis and treatment phases. Survivorship includes issues related to follow-up treatment, late effects of treatment, second cancers, and quality of life. Family members, friends, and caregivers are also part of the survivorship experience and are welcome to attend.

Cathy is a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health and has a Master’s degree in Community Health Education.  Her comprehensive background in breast health includes work with UCLA, the Department of Public Health Services and the City of Hope Women’s Center as part of a multidisciplinary breast care team.  She is currently a nurse navigator and involved in the development of a new breast program at the Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.  Please RSVP by calling 805.379.4777.
