Free Wildflowers Lecture (Santa Monica Mtns)

Visitors are invited to meet photographer Kahlee Brighton of the Wildflower Conservancy and learn about the spectacular array of local wildflowers at a lecture from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Part of the National Park Service's free lecture series, the event, titled "Capturing Ephemeral Beauty: A Celebration of California's Wildflowers," will be at the NPS Visitor Center, 401 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Brighton will concentrate on the diversity of wildflowers in the Santa Monica Mountains and other local ranges and give tips about ways to photograph wildflowers. Her work can be viewed at www.wildflowerconservancy.org.
