FREE EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS NIGHT FEATURING LA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT GUEST SPEAKER AT AGOURA HIGH SCHOOL

You never know when the “big one” will hit, but you can be “in the know” by attending Earthquake Preparedness Night Wednesday, February 29th at 7 p.m. at Agoura High School (28545 West Driver Street, Agoura Hills).

Presented by the Agoura High International Baccalaureate Parent’s Association, the FREE community event will feature guest speaker Maria Grycan, Community Services Liaison for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, accompanied by local Agoura Hills firefighters.

Grycan’s step-by-step guidance and life-saving tips will give attendees the tools they need to begin preparing for disasters, and will offer insight into the Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Program. Within the first five minutes of a disaster, all available resources will have been committed, leaving you and your neighbors to help yourselves.  CERT training will help minimize the effects of a disaster and facilitate recovery.
