Are You Prepared?

HOW PREPARED ARE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOR AN EARTHQUAKE?

The cities of Westlake Village and Agoura Hills have teamed up to host "Are You Prepared?" an event aimed to inform local citizens about steps they can take before, during, and after an earthquake, to better protect their homes and families. Representatives from several public agencies and survival product vendors will have information available on their roles in preparedness and emergency response.

Schedule of Events

5 - 6:30 p.m. - Information Booths in the Westlake Village Civic Center Courtyard

6:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Seminar and Q&A in the Westlake Village City Council Chambers

7:30 p.m. - Live fire extinguisher training

SIgnups will be available that evening or an upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) class. The CERT program provides trianing in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
