Call for Entries for Student Art Show

The Westlake Village Art Guild is currently seeking submissions for the 2013 Student Awards Juried Art Show.

The Westlake Art Guild is calling for submissions for this year's Juried Art Show.

The annual show–sponsored by the Westlake Village Art Guild, hosted by the City of Agoura Hills’ Cultural Arts Council and supported by the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks–is open to all high school juniors and seniors residing in or enrolled in a Greater Conejo Valley high school.

The purpose of the program is to encourage and recognize, in a meaningful way, the dedicated teachers and talented students that enrich all communities in the region.

Categories include:

  • two dimensional fine art
  • photography and digitally created work
  • sculpture, ceramics, glass and 3-D.

The entry deadline is February 15, 2013. As a “juried” show, only the strongest entries, as determined by the jury, will be invited to hang on April 10, 2013 and compete for ribbons and over $1,000 in cash awards.

The reception and awards ceremony will be held on April 12 from 4-7 p.m. at the historic Reyes Adobe, located at 30400 Rainbow Crest Drive.
