Blog Post: Signed Copies of New YA Dystopian Novel 'STARTERS,' by Lissa Price Still Available at Costco, Westlake Village

Get them while they last....After this past weekend's successful book-signing at Costco, there are still some signed copies of the new YA dystopian novel 'Starters' by Lissa Price.

I usually focus on television but had to give a big shout out to this one. This past Saturday, a book signing was held at Costco in Westlake Village for a hot new YA dystopian novel, STARTERS, by Lissa Price–being touted as the next big thing since The Hunger Games.

There was a large turnout to hear and meet the author. The book is already an international best-seller and received a rave review in the Los Angeles Times. If you missed this event, the good news is that there are still some signed copies available at Costco.

Lissa Price, is an old friend who started out as a student of mine. She's had a long and interesting journey to get where she is today. Her overnight success as an author is truly inspiring. The sequel to STARTERS comes out next year, and Lissa is in the process of selling the film rights for which she will write the screenplay.

The story is set in a near-future Los Angeles where desperate teens called Starters rent out their bodies to seniors so they can enjoy being young again. But one senior plans to do more than party, she plans to murder someone.

The book trailer for STARTERS was played before The Hunger Games movie in selected cities across the US, UK and the Philippines and has been published in over 23 countries.

“STARTERS is a smart, swift, inventive, altogether gripping story. Callie Woodland, the narrator, deserves a series..!” Dean Koontz.

“Fans of The Hunger Games will love it.” – Kami Garcia, coauthor of the bestselling BEAUTIFUL CREATURES trilogy.
