Blog Post: Season Four of "Glee" Kicks Off This Thursday With Kate Hudson Guest Starring

It's Back! New Night, New Time, And New Cast Members Join The "Glee" Club At McKinley High.- And Some Of Our Favorite Grads Are Trying To Make It In NYC

Whether you're a gleek or have no affection whatsoever towards the Fox series Glee, there's no denying the ensemble cast have left an indelible mark in television. The series returns for season four on a new night and time–this Thursday night at 9 p.m.–and it promises new storylines, songs, of course, a few slushies and some new characters.

While Rachel might have graduated McKinley High, we get to continue watching her journey as she "follows her dream." So here's a bit of what to expect from.....GLEE! (pretend it's the music bite you hear in the opening)

To kick off the season, Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson will join the cast in a six-episode arc. In her first return to television since Sex in the City, Emmy Award-winning actress and fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker also will guest-star in an upcoming episode.

As some of the seniors have graduated or moved on, or just to other cities, four newcomers join the series. In the season premiere, Rachel lands in New York City to attend NYADA and meets Brody Weston (Dean Geyer), a handsome upperclassman who shows an interest in her. Meanwhile, back at McKinley, squeaky clean sophomore Marley Rose (Melissa Benoist) and Puck’s bad-boy younger half-brother, Jake Puckerman (Jacob Artist), both try out for the glee club and Sue Sylvester has a new sidekick with Cheerio, Kitty (Becca Tobin).

Sandi Berg is also a freelance journalist and writes about television for several magazines including Written By (Writer's Guild of America), Life After 50 and Whole Life Times Magazine.

The information we received from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's station was that a mentally illRead More patient was removed from the bus Sunday night. No one was harmed, officials said.

Bob, who reported it was one of the kids on the list?

Either way it is wrong and uses the race card as a "despicable stunt"

Not a hate crime at all. Just a very stupid kid trying to manipulate the system so he could beRead More granted a athletic transfer. One of the kids on the "hit list" was the perp. Really despicable stunt.

Thanks for your great perspective on this issue. We should all unplug once in awhile.

I think for the most part, people are mentally drained. Few take the time to sit back relaxRead More anymore. Even when we do have a minute to ourselves, we're constantly bombarded with emails, text messages and status updates. If we unplugged ourselves from our devices, we might find the serenity we all so desperately need. Turn your phone off, take a hike. Find a big tree next to a creek and sit under the shade. Enjoy nature. Listen to the sound of the water, the birds and the breeze as it moves through the brush. When you get back to nature, if only for a short time, you'll leave with a clear mind and feel revitalized. You're right---technology was supposed to make our lives more simple. Instead, it fuels the attention deficit disorder as our brain becomes a hashtag with a constant barrage of (often useless) news and updates. Although I'm young, I'd give anything to go back to the days where calling someone often led to a wild goose chase of finding an available payphone and spare change to make the call.

If you can't talk politics with friends without being able to agree to disagree or even end upRead More losing them as friends then they were not the "friends" you thought they were anyway.

It's not about moving forward, it's about saving your breath! That's the whole problem; too muchRead More talk and not enough action! You gonna eat that fish or just hold it up in the air?
Dave April 7, 2013 at 07:29 am
then again, if you only speak with people who agree with you, how do you ever move forward? aren'tRead More you just "spinning your wheels" staying in the same spot never moving forward?
