Wanna Talk Watersheds?

Hey, some people find it interesting. And if you're one of them, you need to know about this event.

Several local agencies are putting on a workshop to discuss local storm water runoff into the Malibu Creek and Santa Monica Bay Coastal watersheds.

As the flier above says, "All interested parties are encouraged to attend to be part of this important and proactive process for our area."

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at King Gillette Ranch, 26800 West Mulhulland Highway in Calabasas.

I may be wrong, but I believe you need rainfall to have a "watershed." In light of recent climate reports from the IPCC and US government, future deluges will be fewer and farther between. Let's not waste a lot of money building a solution to a problem that doesn't exist anymore. (Like the DDT layer @ Palos Verdes?)
