Update: State Senate District 27: Pavley vs. Zink Election Results 2012

Fran Pavley wins state senate race for California's 27th District, preliminary results show.

Update 7:40 a.m.: With 100 percent of the 557 precincts reported, incumbent Fran Pavley won by 14,350 votes, with a total of 147,764.

Update 1 a.m.: Due to heavy fog conditions in Norwalk, where the registrar is tabulating ballots, helicopters carrying the ballots from various precincts cannot land and deliver their cargo. Consequently, it is too soon to name a victor in this race.

Update 9:45 p.m.: Todd Zink is currently watching the polls from Bogey's in Westlake Village. Fran Pavley is holding her gathering at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center.

Update 3:50 p.m.:  Sen. Fran Pavley voted at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center at approximately 3:25 p.m. (see attached photo).

Incumbent state Senator Fran Pavley is facing Deputy District Attorney Todd Zink for the California 27th District seat Tuesday.

The district includes portions of the western San Fernando Valley including Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and Calabasas, as well as the eastern Ventura County communities of Thousand Oaks, Moorpark and Simi Valley.

Pavley, a Democrat who resides in Agoura Hills, is seeking her second term in the state senate.

Zink, a Republican who resides in Westlake Village, is a former marine who is running on a platform of bringing jobs to the region and improving public safety.

Democrats have a 7.6 percent registration advantage in the district.

I figured those fog delayed Malibu votes would put her over.
Not counting Primary, I think that makes her undefeated since 1982? Happy Anniversary Agoura Hills, And Congratulations Fran!!!

Another victory for the public employee unions that control California, formerly known as the Golden State.

Down the environmental rabbit hole goes CA. So sad to consider how the Democrats have taken us in the wrong direction. Can't wait to get out of the state along with my family.

In what alternate universe is caring about the environment a bad thing? Are you the one person that really wants more pollution? Oh yes, if only we had more cancer causing chemicals in our air in water, darn it. Those stupid Democrats, trying to keep our air and water clean.

Speaking of pollution, Zink signs still litter the entire area. Will the Republicans ever clean up that mess?
I seem to recall a Republican headquarters in Malibu, making a big stink because somebody vandalized their Romney poster. Are you guys going to clean up your mess?

Too bad you are leaving and not being able to enjoy the great air and wonderful environment which is California. Maybe you did not belong here in the first place. And as they say, don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Here in Moorpark special event signs are supposed to be removed within a week of the event. We who care about our community have them down the day of the event.
