Election Night Blog: City Council Race

Check back throughout the night for up to date vote counts.

11:45 p.m. – Illece Buckley Weber and John Edelston clinched seats on the council by earning the most votes with all precincts reporting. Buckley Weber earned 1,427 followed by Edelston with 1,362. Sue Lepisto came in at a close third with 1,242 votes. Meril Platzer trailed with 448 votes. Stay tuned for a follow-up interviews with the winners.

11:25 p.m. – Buckley Weber has taken the lead followed by Edelston. Buckley Weber now has 1,303 votes while Edelston has 1,216. Six out of the 7 precincts are now reporting in.

11:15 p.m. – Edelston and Buckley Weber are still in the lead. Edelston has 787 votes while Buckley Weber has garnered 785. Ballots from 2 precincts have been counted so far.

9:10 p.m. – Still awaiting further results. So far, 0 percent of the precincts have reported in, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar.

8:30 p.m. – John Edelston and Illece Buckley Weber take an early lead following the vote by mail count. Edelston has 569 votes while Buckley Weber has earned 546.

8 p.m. – The polls have officially closed. The City of Agoura Hills is consolidated with the County of Los Angeles and all votes will be tallied at the Registrar Recorder/County Clerk’s offices in Norwalk, according to the City Clerk. Votes by mail ballot results will be issued at 8:30 p.m. Stay with us for updates.
