VIDEO: Dan Kuperberg Reflects on His 16 Years on City Council

Patch chats with Mayor Pro Tem Dan Kuperberg, who has decided not to seek re-election to the Agoura Hills City Council.

After 16 years on the City Council, Mayor Pro Tem Dan Kuperberg has decided not to run for re-election, allowing someone else to take the reins.

Thinking back over his career, Kuperberg, who was a deputy public defender, said he wasted no time getting involved with the city of Agoura Hills shortly after moving here with his family in 1991. By 1992, he was serving on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. He was elected to the City Council in 1995.

During his time in office, Kuperberg has been a proponent for education, environmental issues, open space and community cultural events.
