Week in Review: Discovered Bones and a Discrimination Case

This week saw investigations into the remains of Mitrice Richardson and a claim made by a city employee.

The skull and other bones discovered in a Malibu Canyon ravine earlier this week were identified as the remains of Mitrice Richardson, 24, who had disappeared near the area in September.

A discrimination claim filed by parks and landscape superintendent Frank Gonzalez sparked an investigation by the state Department of Fair Employment and Housing into the city of Agoura Hills.

THURSDAY

We reported on a city employee's discrimination claim against City Manager Greg Ramirez. Landscape supervisor Frank Gonzalez said he was unfairly targeted for disciplinary action after working at Ramirez's home on city time.

This week's Summer Types student was Agoura High School sophomore Megan Kolakowski, who plays varsity basketball, runs track and volunteers at a camp for underprivileged kids.

SATURDAY

This week's Hometown Hero was the Conejo Valley Friendship Circle's director, Rabbi Eli Laber.
