Three-County Chase Ends in Agoura Hills

Reaching speeds of 80-100 mph, it all began with a stolen car in San Bernardino.

A man was in custody after a police pursuit that began in San Bernardino and ended near the Ventura County line early today.

The pursuit unfolded at speeds of 80-100 mph, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said, on the westbound Foothill (210), and Ventura (134 and 101) Freeways before the suspect was stopped on the 101 just west of Kanan Road around 4:45 a.m. and taken into custody.

Villalobos said CHP officers were told the pursuit was of a reported stolen vehicle, a 2000 Chevy Suburban.

The CHP pursuit at the eastern Los Angeles County line began around 3:55 a.m. Villalobos said.

The suspect was the sole occupant of the vehicle, Villalobos said, and there were no injuries reported.
