Detectives from the Lost Hills Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are investigating a break-in at Roadside Lumber and Hardware on the 29000 block of Roadside Drive in Agoura Hills that took place at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities at the station confirmed the break-in and said they were able to recover some construction equipment, but no suspects are in custody and declined to give more details while the investigation is under way.
Residents in the area reported hearing helicopters circling above the business and police giving directions over a loud speaker.
According to Roadside's general manager, Owen Nostrant, this event comes two weeks after another burglary at the store. Nostrant said the store lost approximately $10,000 in product and damages in the earlier break-in.
