One Westbound Lane Closed on PCH at Latigo Canyon Road Following Crash

There is no estimated time for when the lane will reopen.

2:45 p.m. UPDATE: There are 141 customers in the area are without power due to the vehicle collision. Power is not expected to be restored to those customers until about 2 a.m., said Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Klein.

Klein said the driver of the vehicle struck a power pole across the highway from the scene of  Two 50-foot poles fell on the highway, and power immediately went out for 993 customers at 10:53 a.m. Power was restored for 805 customers at 11:02 a.m. Forty-seven customers got their power back at 11:14 a.m.

1 p.m. UPDATE: Both eastbound lanes and one westbound lane are open. Two poles are down.

12:30 p.m. UPDATE: One lane is open in each direction of Pacific Coast Highway at Latigo Canyon Road while a crew works to repair a downed power line, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station. There is no estimation for when the highway will fully reopen.

12 p.m. UPDATE Both eastbound lanes were reopened at about 11:55 a.m. The westbound lanes are expected to reopen at 12:20 p.m., Sgt. Steven Bullard of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station said.

Bullard said there was one occupant in the vehicle that crashed. He was airlifted to Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Pacific Coast Highway at Latigo Canyon Road will be closed in both directions for "a significant amount of time" due to a car crash that happened at about 11 a.m., Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff's Sgt. Steven Bullard said.

Bullard said the driver of the car lost control, and struck power lines, knocking a pole onto the highway. Los Angeles County fire officials are attending to the people in the car at this time.
