'America's Most Wanted' to Air Story on Missing Fox Exec Gavin Smith

The popular crime-news program is working on the piece, which will air in October, with cooperation from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, according to the 'Hollywood Reporter'.

An episode of Lifetime's long-running crime news program, America's Most Wanted, will air a feature about Gavin Smith, the Fox executive who went missing from a friend's Oak Park home in early May, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter.

A producer for the show, Angeline Hartmann, told the entertainment magazine that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which has revealed little about its investigation, is participating in the making of the feature, set to air sometime in October.

“The sheriff's office has not really spoken out in detail publicly about this case, but the good news is we are dealing directly with the investigators assigned to the case — they are ready to talk a little bit more about it,” Hartmann told the magazine, adding that AMW is still conducting interviews and researching the disappearance of the studio exec.
