Agoura Hills Man, an Actor, Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen in Remote Part of City

Cameron Thor drove the 13-year-old victim to a secluded area in Agoura Hills and sexually assaulted her after consulting him about acting classes, deputies allege.

A 54-year-old Agoura Hills man and actor is suspected of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Agoura Hills after the teen consulted him about acting classes; he now faces multiple sex crime counts today, authorities said.

Cameron Thor was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of kidnapping with the intent to commit rape, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

"After one of the consultations, suspect Thor drove (the victim) to a secluded area in Agoura Hills and sexually assaulted her," according to a sheriff's department statement that listed the dates of offense as April 2008 through March 2009.

The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, which filed charges against Thor, including one count each of committing a lewd act against a child under 14; kidnapping; robbery; rape; sexual penetration; and rape or sexual penetration, the sheriff's department reported.

Thor, who was due to be arraigned today at the Van Nuys Courthouse, was being held at the Inmate Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles in lieu of $2.6 million bail, according to the sheriff's department.

The case was investigated by the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau.

Among Thor's film credits are A Few Good Men and his probably best-known part as Dr. Lewis Dodgson in Jurassic Park

With Alicia Carter, he owns an acting studio in Studio City called Carter Thor Studios, whose website has been dismantled. A cached version shows acting classes available for teens.
