Fire Breaks Out at Industrial Complex [VIDEO]

No injuries were reported in Agoura Hills blaze that caused over $1 million in damage, authorities say.

Update: 2:30 p.m.

It was determined that the cause of the blaze was accidental, according to Capt. Ed Saldibar from the LA County Fire Dept.

"We found the source to be an electrical conduit that heated up a nearby two by four," said Saldibar. "It just took off from there."

The fire began at about 9:30 p.m., Battalion Chief Anthony Williams told Patch.

"Extinguishment took a little over two hours," Williams said. "And it took the rest of the night for salvage and overhaul." About 100 Los Angeles and Ventura County firefighters were called to the scene, he said.

The complex was empty at the time of the fire, he said.

According to Williams, the building housed a woodworking shop, machine shop and a ducting manufacturer. The damage was estimated at $1 million for the structure and $250,000 for the contents, he said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
