With Father’s day approaching, help celebrate Dad’s day with a special meal. If you’re looking for a place to get a pint, watch the game or have brunch, there are some great local options here in Agoura Hills.

The first one’s on them. The Lab Brewing Company is offering a free beer for dads this Father’s Day. During Father’s Day, they will have a taco bar and an outdoor barbecue going for hot dogs and hamburgers.

Why make dad work on Father’s Day? Let him skip the grill and take him to Wood Ranch instead. For twenty years, Wood Ranch has been serving the community with a selection of award-winning meals. Wood Ranch is family-friendly option with menu choices that everyone enjoy.

Ladyface knows ale and is offering its first pint for only $1 for dad’s this Father’s Day. Keeping with the festive theme, the alehouse will feature jazz on the patio with Jordan Seigel from 5 p.m.

With a fun, festive atmosphere, Brendan’s Irish Pub and Restaurant could be a great option to take Dad this Father’s Day. With a shuffle board, 8 HD TVs featuring sports and two dart boards inside, this pick could be a bull’s-eye. If you make a reservation for Father's Day, you get $10 off a $50 Brendan's Gift Card for Dad.

Who says brunch is just for Mother’s Day? If you want to take your dad to breakfast on Father’s Day, Jinky’s has something for everyone. They serve over 300 breakfast options, including waffles, crepes, omelets, pancakes and lox plates. They also have lunch and dinner options.

The information we received from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's station was that a mentally illRead More patient was removed from the bus Sunday night. No one was harmed, officials said.

Bob, who reported it was one of the kids on the list?
Meril Platzer May 18, 2013 at 11:04 am
Either way it is wrong and uses the race card as a "despicable stunt"
Bob Thomas May 18, 2013 at 10:18 am
Not a hate crime at all. Just a very stupid kid trying to manipulate the system so he could beRead More granted a athletic transfer. One of the kids on the "hit list" was the perp. Really despicable stunt.

Thanks for your great perspective on this issue. We should all unplug once in awhile.

I think for the most part, people are mentally drained. Few take the time to sit back relaxRead More anymore. Even when we do have a minute to ourselves, we're constantly bombarded with emails, text messages and status updates. If we unplugged ourselves from our devices, we might find the serenity we all so desperately need. Turn your phone off, take a hike. Find a big tree next to a creek and sit under the shade. Enjoy nature. Listen to the sound of the water, the birds and the breeze as it moves through the brush. When you get back to nature, if only for a short time, you'll leave with a clear mind and feel revitalized. You're right---technology was supposed to make our lives more simple. Instead, it fuels the attention deficit disorder as our brain becomes a hashtag with a constant barrage of (often useless) news and updates. Although I'm young, I'd give anything to go back to the days where calling someone often led to a wild goose chase of finding an available payphone and spare change to make the call.

If you can't talk politics with friends without being able to agree to disagree or even end upRead More losing them as friends then they were not the "friends" you thought they were anyway.

It's not about moving forward, it's about saving your breath! That's the whole problem; too muchRead More talk and not enough action! You gonna eat that fish or just hold it up in the air?
Dave April 7, 2013 at 07:29 am
then again, if you only speak with people who agree with you, how do you ever move forward? aren'tRead More you just "spinning your wheels" staying in the same spot never moving forward?
