Visitors to the Peter Strauss Ranch are first greeted by a small cactus garden, and beyond it is a grove of fragrant eucalyptus trees. The ranch contains a pleasant, half-mile loop trail. The trail, bordered by chaparral and oak trees, is clearly marked and has a moderate gain that briefly goes into the Santa Monica Mountains. The trail overlooks the eucalyptus grove.
