One thing the recession has done, is caused Americans to “waste not, want not”. Re-purpose, recycle and reuse is the new mantra for today’s budget-conscious families.

Craft/Office/Sewing Supply Storage. Everything from beads and buttons to tacks and paper clips can be neatly stored and stacked on a shelf.

Spice and Sauce Dipper. Choose your flavors: pesto, salsa and perhaps herbs. When it’s time to add a dash of seasoning, dip some out and add a dollop to your appetizer.

Snack Trays. These make great portion-controlled dividers for kids’ play dates. Fill with nuts, berries, veggies and raisins for a healthy, but yummy treat just right for little fingers.

Jewelry Cubbies. A girl can’t have too many shoes, or too much jewelry. If you need to make room for more, ice trays are a great solution and fit easily in your bath or dresser drawer.
