Make a normal black pillow into a spooky Halloween decoration with a little crafting.

Using clear craft glue, glue a white lace cloth to the pillow, placing it slightly offset from the center, leaving the edges loose. Take a piece of tapestry string long enough to go around the pillow.

Tie one end of the string to the cloth, looping through one of the lacy open edges. Wrap the string around the pillow, tying the loose end to another open area of the cloth. Repeat with other pieces of tapestry to create a spider web look. Finally, you can glue a toy spider on top of the cloth to finish the design.

Haunted Lantern Silhouettes

Make your home glow with these Halloween silhouette lanterns.

Print silhouettes and trace onto the back side of vinyl or adhesive shelf liner. Cut out the silhouettes and attach to the lanterns. To create a setting, try filling the lanterns with moss, candles, and miniature gourds.

Gleaming Pumpkins

Cast some shimmer on your indoor pumpkin decorations by adding a little glue and glitter in this fun October craft you can make in minutes.

To make this glittery pumpkin layout, paint strips of each pumpkin with coats of clear white craft glue.

Add glitter to all areas of the pumpkins, working in small sections to keep the layer of glue from drying out.

Alluring Plate Decoration Wall Art

Old dishes and plates can be updated with decorative stationery creating a perfect eerie backdrop on the wall for Halloween.

Cut out a few Halloween decorative papers to fit the center of your unused plates. Apply the cut outs to the center of each plate using a glue stick.

Using the glue stick allows you to peel the papers off without causing damage to the plates when you want to change the decoration or use the plates differently.

These simple, exciting projects are a quick and sure way to get the family into the Halloween spirit. With just a few household items and your imagination, you can have a lot of fun creating a new environment for the upcoming mysterious holiday.
