Local Disability Advocate Honored

Joni Eareckson Tada, founder of Joni and Friends International Disability Center in Agoura Hills, receives the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame Award.

Joni Eareckson Tada, a longtime ministry leader, radio host, and founder of Joni and Friends International Disability Center in Agoura Hills, has been selected to receive the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame Award at the group’s annual meeting Feb. 18-21 in Nashville, according to a report in ToledoBlade.com.

Eareckson Tada was previously profiled as a in Agoura Hills Patch.

According to the report, Frank Wright, the broadcasters group's president and cheif executive officer, said, “I know of no better testimony of how Christ’s strength is made perfect through weakness than the life of Joni Eareckson Tada. Joni has stared suffering in the face and seen the face of Christ.”
