Learn to Reduce Inflammation through your Diet

Many people suffer from chronic inflammation in their bodies. Inflammation is the bodies natural immune response when infection or injury occurs. When Inflammation is systematic it can affect your organs and internal structures.

Several causes to inflammation are stress, diet, lack of sleep and lack of exercise. By working on all of these causes you will reduce and potentially rid your body of inflammation.

Diet is a great way you can reduce inflammation. By eating the proper foods and avoiding foods that cause inflammation your body will begin to feel much healthier.

The typical American diet has many foods that cause inflammation;

  • Foods you want to avoid are processed and packaged foods, fast foods, hydrogenated and trans fats, sugars, fried foods, artificial sweeteners, food additives and alcohol.
  • Foods you will want to limit are meats and dairy products, grains with gluten

Eating a plant based diet is a good way to start eating foods that will avoid any inflammation as well as help your body become more efficient and healthy. Foods such as dark leafy greens, tumeric, flaxseed, blueberries, cruciferous veggies, chia seeds and avocados.

When buying your foods focus on eating organic foods as much as possible. Shop at your local farmer's markets and/or start growing a few of your own herbs and veggies. By getting away from the processed world of foods and getting back to nature your body will begin to balance itself and become healthy and strong fighting off disease and sickness.
