Used Book Drive

Have you been "Spring Cleaning?" this week? Are you wondering what to do with all of those books your children have already read or grown out of?

Well...this coming week Monday, April 25th - Friday, April 29th 8am-8:20am a former Sumac student, Juliet Risko, will be collecting gently used K-8th grade books at the AM drop-off loop in front of the school for a Girl Scout Silver Award community service project.   Once collected, these books will be cataloged and donated to a pre-determined Elementary School library that needs our assistance in the Ventura/Oxnard area.

Juliet will also have a boxes labeled "Book Donations" in Sumac's front-court atrium by the office and at the Eagleton gate for donations made during the day/pickup.

Juliet's goal is to collect 1000 books and, at this point, she is half way there.

Please help in giving a less fortunate school the gift of reading.
