Dog Adoption

In support of the International Society for Animal Rights’ National Homeless Pet Day, Camp Bow Wow Agoura Hills will be hosting a Dog Adoption event on Saturday, August 20, from 12noon to 3pm with Labs and Buddies Rescue, a no-kill rescue committed to saving all types of Labrador Retrievers, Lab mixes and other mixed breeds.

“When you love dogs the way we do, you want to make every effort to find all homeless dogs a loving, safe home,” said Paul Berkovitz, owner and director of Camp Bow Wow Agoura Hills, the premiere provider of doggie day and overnight camp.  “We greatly admire the work that Labs and Buddies Rescue is doing and encourage everyone in our community who is considering getting a new dog to
visit Labs and Buddies Rescue first.”

Labs and Buddies Rescue, although passionate about black Labrador Retrievers, helps dogs of all breeds, colors and
ages.  Founded by Laura Portillo, Labs and Buddies Rescue believes that every dog deserves a loving, caring family
where they can show their owners the love, loyalty and the amazing companionship dogs provide.

“We’re a volunteer run organization,” said Portilla, “Our typical adoption fee is $300 which covers our costs to make sure that every dog we rescue is vaccinated and
sterilized and receives any additional medical attention it requires. All proceeds from the dog adoptions go towards the rescue, medical care and boarding of the dogs.”

People considering dog adoption can visit Labs and Buddies online at http://labsandbuddies.org to view the dogs available for adoption and to complete an adoption form
online.
