The 3rd annual Understanding and Educating Gifted Learners conference takes place January 19 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Yerba Buena Elementary School.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Sandra Kaplan, past president and board member of the California Association for the Gifted.
Special guest is author/consultant Nathan Levy.
Workshops will explore numerous proven strategies to reach gifted learners in challenging ways. Participants will leave with a variety of new activities and specific ideas to help children become creative and critical thinkers.
A $30 pre-registration includes continental breakfast. (Fee waived for LVUSD teachers and staff. Site GATE funds can be used for Staff Development hours.); $35 on-site registration.
