Agoura Hills Presents Day of Innovation

In conjunction with Agoura Hills
One City,
One Book program the city is hosting a Day of Innovation, paying tribute to the
book Power: How JD Power Became the Auto
Industry’s Advisor, Confessor, and Eye Witness to History
, by authors Sarah
Morgans and Bill Thorness. JD (Dave) Power who created JD Power and Associates
will be participating in Day of Innovation which will also feature a car show,
interactive children’s activities, demonstration by artist Anette Power, a
special installation: “Created Around the Kitchen Table”, on display in the
Fireside Room at the Agoura Hills Public Library (photos, artifacts, descriptions
and timelines on six successful local enterprises created around the kitchen
table). Also, food trucks including kids-eat-free hot dogs. Dave Power will
discuss what inspired him to become an advocate for the consumer, how J.D.
Power and Associates grew to become such an influential component of business,
and address overall motivation and the importance of quality in one's work.
Signed copies of Power will be available. A Day of Innovation is on Saturday,
April 26; 10:00 am – 2:00 pm with Dave Power speaking at 1:00 pm. Free. City
