Affordable Care Act: Answering Critical Questions

Business owners and consumers are urged to prepare for the launch of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)by attending an interactive session on Wednesday, October 16 in Agoura Hills, presented by Synergy Business Connections, the Conejo Senior Resource Network and the Greater Conejo Chamber of Commerce.

“Answering Critical Questions to Help You Prepare for the Affordable Care Act” will provide information useful to both the small business owner and the average consumer about ACA so they can plan better and make informed decisions. Questions that will be answered include:

  • What kind of health coverage is available from Covered California?
  • How much will it cost?
  • Do I have to provide health insurance for my employees?
  • What happens if I do not cover my employees?
  • What can I do if I don’t get coverage from my employer or have my own insurance?
  • What are my compliance responsibilities as an individual?

The session begins at 4:00pm on Wednesday, October 16 at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, 30100 Agoura Road. Admission is free and all are welcome, but reservations are requested. Email Ron Cooke at ronjcooke@aol.com or leave a message at (818) 515-1656.

Guest speakers at this event are T. Gregory Taylor, GBA, RPA, CEBS, and Vice President of the Employee Benefits Division at Hub International Insurance Services and Ronald J. Cooke, ERISA, an employee benefits, labor and employment attorney in Thousand Oaks.
