All races finish at Chumash Park in host city Agoura Hills. Leeper, born
without limbs below his knees, is gearing up for a bid to be the first
American double-amputee to run in the Olympics, in 2016.

With turnout so high, race organizers suggest runners get
timing tags, bibs, shirts and goodie bags prior to the day of the race. On March
20
 (12 noon – 7 p.m.) and March 21 (12 noon – 6
p.m.), runners can go to the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, 27040 Malibu
Hills Road, Calabasas, 91301 to get their race packs.

Giving Back

Since its inception, the Great Race of Agoura Hills has
donated more than $1.6 million to local schools, making
it one of the largest single private contributors to education in the
region. Plus, the event generates more than $1 million of
economic impact locally every year.

“The Great Race has become such a prominent part of our
culture. It brings a lot of positive focus to the region and especially to
Agoura Hills,” said City of Agoura Hills Councilmember and five-time mayor
Denis Weber. “Thousands of people that have never been to Agoura Hills
come and visit our area for this race. They fall in love and many come
back and make it their home.”
