2nd Annual Holiday Boutique Benefitting WhatCanWe.org

Join renowned local artists, taste extraordinary organic soups,
and shop for lovely handmade goods at the 2nd Annual Holiday
Boutique benefitting WhatCanWe™.  The day-long event takes place December 4th
from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hoffman “Pet Resort,” 3923 Davids Rd.,
Agoura, 91301.  WhatCanWe is a national 501(c)3
nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and awareness to assist licensed,
nonprofit animal rescues with veterinary care.

During the boutique, “Souperwoman” will be serving organic soups to accompany a wide range of complementary snacks, many of which will be made from
WhatCanWe’s just published Kitchen
Rescues, Recipes for People and Their Pets
cookbook.  This unique cookbook includes hundreds of recipes from appetizers to desserts and a section dedicated to pets.  The cookbook also features the “Pet
Resources” section, authored by veteran prosecutor of the Los Angeles City

Attorney’s Office, Bob Ferber who was instrumental in the formation of the L.A.

Animal Cruelty Task Force, a dedicated team of LAPD detectives and animal

control officers who investigate animal cruelty and neglect.

The event will include a wide range of goods including specialty foods, home furnishings, fashions, ceramics, and jewelry from Eva’s Garden.   In addition, there will be a book signing throughout the day, a creative corner and much more.

WhatCanWe.org

WhatCanWe.org™ started in 2012 to raise awareness and funds for licensed, nonprofit animal rescues in order to help offset the financial hardships most currently endure due to overwhelming veterinary expenses.  Today, every 1.5 seconds a homeless animal’s life is terminated in a shelter.  Fortunately, there is an army of benevolent rescue organizations that are on the front lines battling every day in an effort to positively change these numbers.

The challenge these rescues
face is the exorbitant cost of medical care for these abandoned animals.  In fact, these expenses drain more than 50%
of a rescue’s operating budget.  Since
most of these rescues rely solely on limited resources, compassionate community
volunteers, and charitable donations, these costs have a staggering impact on a
rescue’s ability to save more animals in need.

WhatCanWe.org is determined to change this situation by raising awareness and funds to offset these costs, and ultimately, to create nonprofit teaching veterinary clinics that offer low or no-cost veterinary care to licensed, nonprofit rescues.  To make a donation or for more information, visit www.whatcanwe.org and click on our Contact Page, or like us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/WhatCanWe?.org.
