Ginger has a Zest for Life

This Australian Kelpie mix needs an energetic lifestyle.

Ginger, an 8-year-old Australian Kelpie mix, was turned into the shelter because her owner no longer wanted her. While the volunteers have been great by showering her with love and attention to keep her spirits up but–if you know anything about the breed–the shelter is no place for a dog like her. She is a working breed and needs to run, play, work and stretch her legs.

Here are some things you should know about her:

  • She has had some training and knows her basic commands.
  • She is friendly and engaging.
  • She loves lots of attention.
  • She does well in the house-like room (real room) at the shelter.
  • She rides well in a car.
  • She walks well on a leash.
  • She loves to take a bath.

She is no couch potato and will do best in a family with a yard to play in or a buddy to hike or run with. She really won’t do well in an apartment.

Ask to meet her today.

To choose Ginger, request ID A A3317489. The Agoura Shelter is at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Occasionally pets have already been adopted. To check availability, call 818-991-0071 or visit the .

A really cool breed, Ginger is friendly and engaging, but she’s no couch potatoes. She needs lots of exercise and will need a running or hiking buddy. She loves attention and knows her basic commands. Come see her today.

Ginger is an affectionate girl who just craves attention. She is not happy at the shelter without having her humans around. When she was turned in, she had her toenails painted! Great dog that needs attention and exercise.
